Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- Double spaced typing in A4 size white paper with 12-point font.
- Sequence of the manuscript should be title page, abstract and keywords, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, acknowledgments, conflict of interest, reference, tables and figure legends. All pages should be numbered consecutively starting from the title page.
- Title page should includes article’s title, authors’ full name(s) and affiliation, address for correspondence (including telephone/cell phone number and e-mail address), running title (less than 10 words) and footnotes if any.
- Abstract in structured format (objectives, study design, place and duration of study, material and methods, results, conclusion and key words) for original article (maximum 250 words) and in unstructured format for case report up to (150 words), and key words as in MeSH.
- All tables’ and figures’ numbers must be found in the text.
- Reference listed in Vacuolar referencing style. Check that all references are listed in the “references” section and cited in the text and vice versa.
- Please state conflicts of interest of all listed authors on “ICMJE check list for potential conflict of interest” is available http://www.icmje.org/cgi-bin/feedback
- A covering letter.
- An undertaking signed by all the authors stating that the material is not published previously, and has not been submitted for publication elsewhere.
- The article would be processed if the above mentioned requirements are completed and the similarity index for plagiarism is < 19%.
