Abstract

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV2) is an outbreaking pandemic, threatening public health from September 2019. Initially, the disease affected adults much more than children, but more and more children are being affected. Children usually develop a mild disease characterized by low-grade fever, abdominal pain and diarrhea and mild upper respiratory tract involvement. kidneys can be a target of the disease and several factors have been incriminated. We report a case of a five-year-old girl who was admitted to our hospital for acute kidney injury following an asymptomatic SARS-CoV2 infection. Through this case, we hope to focus practitioners' attention on a different aspect of renal involvement in the course of the SARS-CoV2 disease.
